I have been a lover of all animals from a very young age. We had all kinds of animals in the house as I was growing up. So it was only natural to choose a career that centered around caring for animals and help to keep them healthy and improve their quality of life.
Having been in the veterinary field for 20 years, I have had many different work experiences. I started out at a general practice in western long island and then moved on to working in multiple specialty hospitals for many years, even working at one in Florida. My main focus was Surgery and Anesthesia/Neurology. Over the years I found my way back to general practice which I love.
At home I have my two furry babies, Liberty – My 3 legged little torti X that I snatched up at one of the specialty hospitals that I worked at in 2002. She was 1 lb. A good samaritan brought her in. They heard her crying outside. She needed her right hind leg amputated which has not slowed her down one bit. Tiffany- My tough street cat from TOH. She is very dog like and has a great balance of sweet and feisty. When I am not working at the hospital you will find me eating my way through Manhattan at some of the best vegan restaurants in the world, hiking and traveling with my husband.
